How do I purchase a Plaque for the Memorial Ribbon WALL?
Plaque purchasing for our May 2018 installation is now closed. Ordering for our May 2019 installation will run from November 1, 2018-January 31, 2019. Come back to this website then and place your order. You can purchase your plaque by clicking "Buy A Plaque" from the top navigation menu, simply click on the color of the plaque you wish to buy, add it to your cart, and follow the detailed instructions for personalization.
Plaques can be purchased for $200 each and can be personalized with a name, some meaningful words, or a very short phrase (no dates please). Space is limited to 3 lines total with 12 characters on the first line, 15 characters on the second line, and 12 characters on the third line (including spaces).
Once we have reviewed your order and your custom text, you will receive a confirmation of your order upon our approval. If we have any questions or concerns regarding your plaque order, we will contact you immediately.
When will the plaque be added to the Memorial Ribbon?
We had our inaugural installation of 74 beautiful plaques at the Children's Garden on May 21, 2017. We will install an additional 38 plaques in time for our May 20, 2018 ceremony at 11:00am.
Spaces for our May 2019 installation will be extremely limited so don't wait to purchase.
Why does the personalization of my plaque require approval?
The memorial plaques that are installed at the Children's Garden are in a public park, on land that is owned and maintained by the City of Flagstaff Parks & Recreation Department. Therefore, each personalization must be reviewed and approved by the Children's Garden and the City of Flagstaff Parks & Recreation for appropriateness. Unfortunately, any religious text cannot be approved.
If I donate to the Children's Garden, will it be tax-deductible?
All donations to the Children's Garden will be tax-deductible through JLB Project, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and will be placed in a specific account restricted for the construction of the Children's Garden only.
Will my donation be publicly recognized?
All donations of $500 or greater will be recognized in the entrance garden with a specially engraved paver. Donors will also be recognized on the "Our Sponsors" page of this website, under "Titanium", "Platinum", "Gold", "Silver", or "Bronze", depending on the amount of donation.
All donations less than $500 will be recognized on the "Our Sponsors" page of this website under "Friends of the Garden".
